Exterpark’s Participation in the Iconic Rambla del Mar and Maremagnum Renovation Project
We are excited to share our involvement in the iconic renovation project of the Rambla del Mar and the two elevated bridges in the port area of Barcelona and Maremagnum. This project has involved the installation of Exterpark decking made from Elondo wood, the same choice made 30 years ago, which required renewal to continue offering the same quality and beauty.
The wooden deck renovation has been carried out with an innovative and sustainable approach: 50% of the boards used are newly produced, while the other half have been recycled. The recycled boards were extracted after 30 years of use, taken to our factory in Xinzo de Limia (Ourense, Spain), carefully selected, and re-profiled for reinstallation. This reuse process has allowed us to repurpose half of the material, which is a significant milestone and an example of sustainability and best practices in the wood industry.
This project not only highlights our dedication to the quality and durability of our products but also our commitment to the environment. By reusing 50% of the boards, we have reduced the environmental impact and demonstrated that it is possible to maintain the beauty and functionality of public spaces sustainably.
At Yvyra-Exterpark, we continue to work on providing innovative and sustainable solutions, ensuring that our projects not only meet the highest standards of quality but also contribute to environmental conservation.
We appreciate the trust placed in us to carry out this significant project and look forward to making a difference in future projects.
